Actor James Remar came to the aid of a homeless man he encountered outside a Los Angeles grocery store recently, and went so far as to get all the supplies to help bandage his wound and give him some advice on caring for it.The "Dexter" actor approached the injured man Friday and saw that he was bleeding from his head, says TMZ, adding:

So Remar, being a former EMT and an all-around nice guy, went into the store ... bought a bandage and antiseptic cream ... went back to the homeless man and cleaned and dressed the wound.

Remar's rep said the 53-year-old veteran actor (who many will remember as Samantha's cunning hotel magnate manfriend on "Sex and the City") came to the man's aid "simply because he felt it was the right thing to do." TMZ notes that earlier in his career, Remar worked as an EMT.
