Video: Conan O'Brien Is Terrible At Solving Escape Rooms
Conan O'Brien and producer Jordan Schlansky tried to solve their way out of a Los Angeles escape room, with limited success. Following up a recent visit to Wi Spa with The Walking Dead's Steven Yeun, O'Brien filmed a segment where he and his producer, Jordan Schlansky, attempt to solve their way out of a real-life escape room in downtown Los Angeles. In an escape game, teams get 'locked' in a room and then have to discover clues and solve riddles to find their way back out. Typically, the games run an hour and are played with teams of six to 12, but the duo decides to try it on their own. Dressed to match the 1940s pulp theme of Escape Room L.A.'s detective-themed room, the two have extremely different tactics to completing the game.
Schlansky is focused. He manages to work out several puzzles, and has no time for shenanigans. Meanwhile, O'Brien attempts to tamper with the clock, tries to bribe the actress in the room for clues, rolls around on the floor and complains. (Granted, we think these antics were probably to prevent future players from knowing too many clues beforehand.)
