It's always a fight against the elements when you're in the desert but Coachella was nasty yesterday. The wind kicked up as the day wore on, covering everything in a fine layer of dust. Musicians' vocals sounded a little scratchy and by nightfall Pharrell apologized to the audience for not being in top form because of the "dust and this stupid fucking wind." But the fashionistas of Coachella prevailed, covering their faces in fashionable rags and eyes with sunglasses and even goggles in a trend we're calling "desert sandstorm chic."
