The Smell celebrates its 19th anniversary next weekend, and last we heard the legendary downtown punk club will be spared the wrecking ball. However, its founders aren't taking any chances, and proceeds from a series of concerts on their birthday weekend will go towards their relocation fund.

The biggest show that weekend will feature Smell veterans Best Coast, No Age and Ty Segall as the headliners, and it'll be off-site at downtown's Belasco Theater. Other performers include Bleached, Vice Cooler, and yet-to-be-announced special guests. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased via Ticketmaster.

If going to a big show and/or giving money to Ticketmaster is not your thing, take note that The Smell will be hosting (at its own venue) other benefit shows that same weekend on Friday and Sunday nights. On Friday night, Penniback Records presents Jurassic Shark, Super Lunch, Clit Kat and Kuromi. On Saturday night, Danger Collective Records presents Current Joys, TEEKS, BOYO and Momma. Both shows are $10 at the door.

And if you want to help out but can't make it to any of these shows, you can chip in at their GoFundMe page.

The Smell is located at 247 S. Main St. in downtown L.A. The entrance is located in an alley between 3rd and Spring streets.
