Los Angelenos love their dogs. And even more love wine. Much Love Animal Rescue has teamed up with LearnAboutWine to bring both together for a good cause. Tomorrow the “Much Love for Dogs & Wine” event will take place at The Lofty Dog’s indoor dog park in downtown LA from 2-5 pm.

Guests will have the chance to sample wares from about 20 wineries and local restaurants while raising money for Much Love’s homeless pet placement program. Participating restaurants include Wurstkuche, Cafe Metropol, Bordello Wine Bar and Pitfire Pizza Company. The extensive wine is too long to list, but check it out here. There’s a silent auction too, with great gifts ready for the bidding.

Friendly dogs (with proof of vaccines) are welcome to accompany their owners to the event. There’s a 12,000 square-foot dog run with sections for small, medium and large dogs. If you’re dog-less, but are thinking about adopting, then come and check out a few of their dogs available for adoption.

Who knows what’ll happen after a few tastings? You might walk out with a new bff. Tickets are $49 in advance and $60 at the door.

You come to LAist because you want independent reporting and trustworthy local information. Our newsroom doesn’t answer to shareholders looking to turn a profit. Instead, we answer to you and our connected community. We are free to tell the full truth, to hold power to account without fear or favor, and to follow facts wherever they lead. Our only loyalty is to our audiences and our mission: to inform, engage, and strengthen our community.

Right now, LAist has lost $1.7M in annual funding due to Congress clawing back money already approved. The support we receive from readers like you will determine how fully our newsroom can continue informing, serving, and strengthening Southern California.
