Halloween season is in full force and plenty of events -- a screening of Godzilla, the comedic Last Houdini Seance, Lucha VaVoom's Circo de Vampiros and a Sultry Sweet Burlesque -- to prime you for the big day. Also, El Cholo celebrates 95 years in business and an exhibition showcases Jim Carrey's political cartoons.

MONDAY, OCT. 22; 8 p.m.
Last Houdini Seance
The Three Clubs -- 1123 Vine St., Hollywood
This comedy show recreates Bess Houdini's final attempt, on Halloween 1936, to reach her husband Harry via a seance, 10 years after his death. Watch as Hollywood's upper crust, paranormal experts and lookie-loos gather at the Knickerbocker Hotel to contact Houdini's spirit. (Disclaimer: This is not a real seance.)

Mads Tolling & Jacob Fischer: A Tribute to Svend Asmussen
123 Astronaut E S Onizuka St., Suite 301, Little Tokyo
Danish jazz violinist Tolling teams up with guitarist Fischer to pay a musical tribute to Danish jazz violin legend Asmussen, who passed away last year shortly before his 101st birthday. The concert features Scandinavian jazz tunes and songs from the great American songbook. Ages 21+.

El Cholo Turns 95
All six El Cholo restaurants: Downtown L.A., Koreatown (Western Ave. - The Original), La Habra, Santa Monica, Anaheim Hills and Corona Del Mar
The beloved L.A. Mexican restaurant opened its doors in 1923 and to commemorate the occasion, El Cholo will offer its bestselling item -- the #1 combo plate (cheese enchilada, rolled beef taco, Spanish rice and refried beans) -- for 95 cents all day. Only one combo per guest allowed.

Eric & Eddie Show
The Comedy Central Stage -- 6539 Santa Monica Blvd., Hollywood
The comedy duo presents a 21st century Vaudeville act with two-person sketches, costume changes on stage, videos, musical comedy and stand-up. They tackle what they know best: the millennial experience.

Sonic Youth: 30 Years of Daydream Nation
The Regent Theater -- 448 S. Main St., downtown L.A.
The event pays tribute to the band's critically acclaimed sixth album, "Daydream Nation," released on Oct. 18, 1988, and added to the Library of Congress' National Recording Registry in 2005. There's a film screening, followed by a Q&A with the band's bassist-guitarist-vocalist Kim Gordon, drummer Steve Shelley, filmmaker Lance Bangs and SY archivist Aaron Mullan. The event is all ages.

Roger Daltrey in conversation with Judd Apatow
Aratani Theatre at the Japanese American Cultural & Community Center -- 244 S. San Pedro St., Little Tokyo
The Who frontman discusses his new memoir, "Thanks a Lot Mr. Kibblewhite: My Story," with writer-director Apatow at this Live Talks L.A. event. Daltrey covers his rise from nothing to his journey with one of the greatest rock bands of all time.

Sherry Tiki Luau & Pig Roast

The new wine bar on Melrose Ave. hosts a whole pig roast with tiki-inspired fare from chef Weston Ludeke. Evan Charest creates sherry-based variations on classic tiki cocktails including the Mai Tai, Army Navy, Painkiller and Navy Grog. The food is served up as a three-course, family-style dinner with à la carte options and drinks (not included). Reservations suggested.

Young Storytellers is an L.A. creative arts nonprofit tailored for public school students. They write scripted stories then watch their works live on stage. In its annual event, fifth graders penned the scripts that'll be performed by David Oyelowo, Olivia Munn, Whitney Cummings, Bobby Moynihan, Natasha Rothwell, Jake Johnson, Aparna Nancherla and The Sklar Brothers.

Bachelor The Musical

This musical parody of the reality TV dating show crams the key ingredients -- roses, tears and heartbreak -- into 30 minutes. Written by Richelle Meiss, directed by Ashley Ward and John Flynn and with music by Vince Orlandi and Sam Johnides, the show stars Derek Carley as The Bachelor and Rob Warner as Chris Harrison.

The Other Art Fair LA

The online art gallery Saatchi Art presents the Westside debut of the fair, showcasing the work of 100 emerging artists. Special features and installations include Gary Baseman's "The Purr Room," described as a "meditative experience" that brings his artwork to life; Rosa "Bluestone Babe" Perr's hand poke tattoo designs; Heavy Gel's screen printing workshops; and "31 Women," a showcase of rising female artists.

What We Do in the Shadows

Rooftop Cinema Club screens one of our fave mockumentaries. Directed by Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok), who also stars alongside Jemaine Clement, Rhys Darby and Jonathan Brugh, the film follows vampires who are trying to keep up with the mundanities of modern life. They argue about dirty dishes and chores around the house, awkwardly try to get into nightclubs and -- shockingly -- have girlfriend problems.

Drop Dead Gorgeous

Sultry Sweet Burlesque mixes the sexy with the macabre at this show, which includes zombies, vampires, murderesses and mayhem. The artists are accompanied by an eight-piece orchestra, aerial performances and variety acts.

Solo Queens Fest 2

The festival celebrates the works of female-identifying (or non-binary) solo performers and creators. The selected mainstage shows include Amy Raasch's "The Animal Monologues," Bri Pruett's "Stellar" and Shaina Lynn's "Bayou Blues." The aforementioned performers will also teach a one-day workshop on their solo creation techniques. (No experience required to participate in the workshops.)

Godzilla
