Emily Wells, Lykke Li & Jesca Hoop @ Hotel Cafe, 8/25/08

Last Monday, Swedish singer Lykke Li (MySpace) headlined an estrogen-filled night at the Hotel Cafe in Hollywood, that included local singer-songwriters Emily Wells (MySpace) and Jesca Hoop (MySpace) as well as New York-based Ida (MySpace).
Li's performance immediately followed an in-store appearance and signing of her debut album Youth Novels at Amoeba Music just a few blocks away. And last Thursday, she performed "Breaking It Up" on Late Night With Conan O'Brien.
As for upcoming local shows, Li's is November 3rd at the El Rey Theatre, and Wells' are September 4th and 18th at the Hotel Cafe, October 4th at the Eagle Rock Music Festival, and a spot on the Hotel Cafe Tour, which concludes on November 18th at the Henry Fonda Theater. And Hoop's is on September 13th at the West Beach Music Festival in Santa Barbara.
