Connector Between 5 to 405 Freeways Will Close Again

The connector between the northbound 5 Freeway and the northbound 405 Freeway in Irvine will close for 57 hours from 8 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday.
Why the closure: The California Department of Transportation will close the connector to restore the pavement on the side of the connector.
The connector was also closed last weekend as work continued.
Alternative route: While temporary road signs will redirect motorists, one alternative route to get from the 5 Freeway to the 405 Freeway is exiting onto Alton Parkway and entering the 405 Freeway via Irvine Center Drive.
