In the high deserts, temperatures are still reaching the upper 80s. But in Coachella Valley, it dropped to 99.

That's California weather for you.

Taking a look ahead: It'll be cool starting tomorrow and through Monday with temperatures in the upper 60s to low 70s. There's a chance of rain on Saturday evening and Sunday.

About those advisories

The weather will create fire weather conditions, especially in Santa Barbara and the I-5 corridor. The National Weather Service has a fire weather watch for that area until early this morning.
