The marine layer is pretty thick this morning, bringing fog and patchy drizzle across the coasts, valleys and mountains. This weather will last all week (good excuse not to wash your car).

Quick Facts

  • Today’s weather: patchy drizzle, afternoon sunshine
  • Beaches: 70s
  • Mountains/deserts: 60s-70s/80s-90s
  • Inland: 70s
  • Warnings and advisories: None

All morning expect patchy fog and light, scattered drizzle. But come this afternoon the clouds will break away for some afternoon sunshine.

Today's highs will be in the 70s for most of Southern California — from the coast and valleys to inland areas — a little cooler in the mountains with temperatures reaching the upper 60s. Highs in the low desert have dropped to the 90s, 80s in the high desert, with a high of 96 in Coachella Valley.

Night time lows will dip into the low 60s with more patchy fog and light drizzle.

Taking a look ahead: the cooler weather along the coast will remain all week with the coolest days starting Tuesday through Thursday. But more inland, temperatures will heat up starting Tuesday.
