Today will be mostly dry as a break in the rain moves in.

Another wave of rainfall will come Friday, when we can expect up to half an inch of rain.

Patchy fog will cover the valleys and mountains through the morning.

As for temperatures, coastal areas will see highs in the mid to upper 60s. In downtown Los Angeles and the valleys, expect a high of 71 degrees. In Riverside, San Bernardino and inland Orange counties, temps will remain in the low 70s.

The low desert will see a high of 77, but it will be cooler in the high desert with a high of 66.

Any snow that falls is expected to be above 7,500 feet.

Tonight's lows will be in the lower end of the 50s for the valleys and inland areas including the low desert and down to the 40s in the Antelope valley and the high desert.
