Welcome back to the work week, where the forecast shows May Gray skies and a warming trend beginning Thursday.

- Today’s weather: Warm, sunny in the afternoon
- Beaches: 67-76
- Mountains: 60s-70s
- Inland:70s-80s
- Warnings and advisories: None
As typical, there will be morning low clouds and fog until this afternoon, when it will be mostly sunny. Highs for the beaches and inland coast will be in the upper 60s, mid 70s. In the western San Fernando Valley and the San Gabriel Valley, expect highs in the upper 70s and low 80s, up to 85 degrees for the Inland Empire.
Daytime highs for the low desert will be in the 80s, warmer in the high desert where you can expect up to 102 degrees in Coachella Valley.
Tonight's lows will drop to the 50s.
