Happy Thursday! We hope you're getting used to May Gray conditions because they'll stick around for the rest of the week. And yes, that is patchy drizzle coming down this morning.

A deep and persistent marine layer has created drizzle in the morning and low clouds that will struggle to clear for most of the Southland during the afternoon. Inland areas including the valleys could see partly cloudy skies in the afternoon, meanwhile coastal areas will remain cloudy. The deserts will be the sunniest and warmest areas.
Along the beaches, daytime highs will be in the mid 60s, up to 69 degrees for the inland coast. The Malibu coast will be chillier, with daytime highs in the low 60s.
Temperatures in the valley will be in the mid 70s, and rise up to 79 degrees in the Inland Empire. Foothill communities for Santa Ana and San Gabriel mountains will see highs between 65 to 75.
In the high desert, daytime highs will reach up to 91 degrees in the high desert, up to 100 degrees in Coachella Valley.

Tonight's lows will be in the low 60s, mid 50s.
The National Weather Service warns of poor air quality in Coachella Valley and the San Gorgonio Pass near Banning due to an increase in particle pollution from blowing dust — these conditions will last until 6 a.m. Friday.
