Your SoCal Weather Report For Tuesday, July 30: Cooling trend continues

-
- Today’s weather: Warm, sunny
- Beaches: 70s
- Mountains: 80s
- Deserts: 90-108
- Inland: 70-90
- Warnings and advisories: Air Quality Alert continues
Happy Tuesday! This cooler weather is here to stay for at least one more day. But expect a slow warming trend beginning Wednesday (forecasters are saying this will not be a heatwave).
In the forecast, cooler weather continues with low clouds this morning. Temperatures today will be in mid 70s along the beaches and up to the 80s for the inland coast.
In the valleys, daytime highs will reach the mid to upper 80s, low 90s for Santa Clarita and western San Fernando Valley. For the Inland Empire, it'll reach into the high 90s, up to 104 degrees in the high desert and up to 110 degrees in Coachella Valley. Expect some gusty winds over the Antelope Valley and adjacent foothills through Highway 14.
An air quality alert is still in effect for the Coachella Valley, but conditions will break Tuesday around 11 p.m.
Looking ahead, monsoonal moisture may bring a few showers and thunderstorms to the mountains and Antelope Valley heading into the weekend. There is a possibility showers could drift west of the mountains. This increased moisture in the atmosphere may also knock a few degrees off estimated maximum temps.

LAist has been there for you and we’re asking you to be here for us.
We rely on donations from readers like you to stay independent, which keeps our nonprofit newsroom strong and accountable to you.
