It's Still Cool And Drizzly, With A Chance Of Heavier Rain Heading Into Monday
A series of storms is moving through the southland, bringing along with it a number of weather advisories.
Heading into Monday
Light rain is expected Sunday, and the rain will pick up intensity on Monday, along with a chance of thunderstorms.
The rain is expected to taper off after Monday, possibly stretching into Tuesday. In total, this series of storms is expected to generate up to 2 inches of rain is expected, and 2 to 4 inches in the foothills and mountains.
According to the National Weather Service, snow is expected above 6,500 feet, with 2 to 6 inches between 7 and 8,000 feet.
Minor flooding is possible. The L.A. County Fire Deparment is making sandbags available at a number of locations.

Advisories
San Bernardino mountain towns are under a winter weather advisory until 1 p.m. today.
A wind advisory for portions of southwest California is in effect until 2 p.m. on Monday, with winds between 20 to 35 m.p.h and gusts up to 50 m.p.h. The mountains and Antelope Valley foothills are expected to experience the strongest winds.
A high surf advisory is in effect for Ventura and Los Angeles Counties beaches until 10 p.m. on Sunday. NWS is warning of large breaking waves of 6 to 10 feet, with dangerous rip currents for Ventura beaches; and 5 to 8 feet for their L.A. County counterparts.
