Your SoCal Weather Report For Friday, Dec. 15: Warm Weekend, Showers In Next Week's Forecast

Happy Friday! To welcome you into the weekend we are seeing a warm up in temperatures. But the National Weather Service forecasts some rain showers for next week.

Today is the day to take advantage of the California sunshine and head to the beach in the middle of December.

Temperatures along L.A. County beaches will be in the mid 70s, and up to 75 degrees in Huntington Beach.

It will be a few degrees warmer inland today with a high of 78 degrees in Downey, 77 degrees in downtown L.A.

In the valleys, average temperatures will range in the mid 70s, the highest will be 76 degrees. But over in Santa Clarita Valley we're still looking at windy and cooler weather with highs reaching 68 degrees.

Inland areas such as San Bernardino will see average temperatures reach up to 75 degrees, 77 degrees in Riverside and 79 degrees in Anaheim.

Nighttime lows will drop to the low 50s, down to 47 for the San Fernando Valley, and the 30s for the Antelope Valley.

There's potential for a Pacific storm to reach the Southland come early next week.
