In today's forecast, temperatures are a few degrees warmer and looking ahead ... there's more rain coming this weekend.

Temperatures along the coast will be similar to yesterday's, with highs in the low 70s, and up to 74 degrees in Long Beach and 71 degrees along the Orange County coast. Downtown Los Angeles will see highs in the upper 70s.
More inland, expect warmer temperatures with highs in the 80s, up to 87 degrees in the Inland Empire and the San Fernando Valley.
The deserts are also seeing a significant warm-up — highs in the low 80s for the high desert, in the low 90s for Coachella Valley.
Taking a look ahead, the National Weather Service says more rain is coming our way this weekend starting Friday night. Forecast models show up to a quarter inch of rain could fall along the coast, up to 2 inches closer to the mountains and deserts. And Friday evening will be windy in the mountains. There's also a chance of up to 4 inches of mountain snow in higher elevations.
