About that red flag warning
Forecasters have upgraded a fire weather watch to a red flag warning for Ventura County and western L.A. from 3 p.m. today until 6 p.m. Wednesday as moderate to strong Santa Ana winds are expected to return, bringing low humidity.
That means residents in these areas should be prepared to evacuate in case of a wildfire breaks outs. The warning applies to the Santa Clarita Valley and western San Fernando Valley, including L.A. County mountains, Ventura County and the Malibu coast, where crews are still working to contain the Franklin Fire.
Winds will develop quickly, with gusts of between 40 to 60 mph expected.
