Tuesday will have slightly below average temperatures across Southern California.

Patchy low fog will hang around coastal communities throughout the day, but a gradual clearing will reach inland areas by mid-morning with highs in the 70s. There will be light winds of 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. And fog will return after 11 p.m., with lows in the mid 50s.

The beaches will be a little cooler, with highs near 63. The mountains will get even chillier at night, with lows in the upper 40s.

The Inland Empire should expect warmer temperatures, with a high near 78. Winds there could pick up to as high as 20 mph. Throughout the week, increasing onshore winds are expected, peaking in the 30 mph to 50 mph range for valleys and lower mountains by Thursday.
