Good morning and happy Thursday. Another partly cloudy and cool day is in store for Southern California, with a chance of rain and unseasonably cold temperatures returning this weekend.

We're looking at foggy conditions this morning for L.A. County beaches and clouds over Orange County. Temperatures for L.A. and Orange county coastal areas will range from 62 to 72 degrees.

Meanwhile, temperatures for valleys and inland areas will be a couple degrees cooler today. For L.A. County valleys, that means daytime highs maxing out at 74 degrees, and up to 78 degrees for the Inland Empire.

In the Coachella Valley, another warm day is on tap with highs from 87 to 92 degrees.

Looking ahead, there's a chance of showers Saturday night into Sunday.
