Cloudy and cool mornings persist in SoCal

SoCal is in for another round of patchy fog this morning followed by sunny skies. Overall, it's going to be another relatively cool day.

L.A. County beaches will see highs in the low 70s. In the valleys, expect highs from 79 to 85 degrees — and up to 89 near Woodland Hills.

If you're going for a hike today in the Santa Monica Mountains area close to the coast, temps will be slightly cooler with highs from 66 to 71 degrees. If you're going more inland, temperatures will be slightly warmer up 81 degrees. If you're heading to the San Gabriel Mountains, temperatures will be in the mid 70s up to 85 degrees at the lower elevations.

In Orange County, temperatures will be in the mid-70s at the beaches and up to 82 degrees for the inland areas. In the Inland Empire, temperatures will be slightly warmer, with highs up to 91 degrees.

In the Coachella Valley, it will be mostly sunny all day, with highs up to 106 degrees.
