  • There are few episodes of reality television that will ever rival last week’s epic tea party showdown in terms of drama and tension, so this week was all about the calm after the storm. When last we left the ladies, Lisa’s tea party, such as it was, was still in full, painstaking swing. Camille had made her point about Taylor’s abusive marriage and hightailed it out of there, and the rest of the ladies were left to deal with the fallout.
  • Uh oh: Jennifer Lopez's street cred (eye roll) is totally in peril. The singer-actress-pitchgal is being criticized for filming her homage to her hometurf, the Bronx, on the smooth streets of Beverly Hills in her latest TV ad for Fiat.
  • Kim Kardashian hasn't been garnering too much favor in the eyes of the nation lately. After force-feeding us her gaudy, overstuffed nuptials, she then filed for divorce just 72 days later, prompting an online petition asking E! to rid their network of the Kardashian family altogether.

  • Just because it's Thanksgiving weekend doesn't mean you can't feast on great comedy! The Comedy Garage is putting together a holiday extravaganza, those wonderful HelloGiggles.com ladies are storytelling at UCB and Jimmy Pardo is raising money for The Smile Train. It really is a season to give thanks.
  • It's getting a little quiet on the events front in preparation for the Thanksgiving holiday. Here are a couple of cultural happening that you might be interested in checking out: David Sedaris's The Santaland Diaries in preview; risky storytelling at MeltDown Comics; and live music and dance with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band and the Trey McIntyre Project. Read on for all the details.
  • Monday afternoon, local devotees of melancholic British alt-rock icon Morrissey learned their mighty Moz was adding a last minute, intimate Ticketmasterless concert Wednesday night at the Henry Fonda/Music Box Theatre. With strict rules regarding ticketing--cash only, 2-per-person limit, at venue box office only--fans lined the street outside the Fonda as the noon on-sale time approached.
  • Brian Williams' show is back tonight but for how long? --- ABC put out its midseason schedule and "Cougar Town" is nowhere to be seen. --- Joy Behar's HLN show will be pulled off the air in December. --- All this + The TV Junkie Must-Watch Plan.
  • Comedy genius, voice artist, and chameleon Maria Bamford is a contributor to one of our favorite shows: Cartoon Network's "Adventure Time" (Mondays at 8pm - that's tonight folks!). She gave us some insight into the show in this interview + you can see her perform tomorrow night!
  • One thing is for sure: the environment over at Occupy LA is never boring. Our Overheard in L.A. round-up this week includes overheard conversation on such thrilling topics as Occupy L.A. fashion, winter in L.A. and the taste of perspiration.
