Nominations for the 2024 Screen Actors Guild Awards are out. Leading the list of nominees are last year’s blockbuster films Oppenheimer, the biological thriller about the making of the atomic bomb, and Barbie, the self-discovery film of America’s popular doll starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling.

Robbie, who starred as Barbie, is up for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role along with Annette Bening for Nyad, Lily Gladstone for Killers of the Flower Moon, Carey Mulligan for Maestro and Emma Stone for Poor Things. Gosling is also up for the top actor prize for his portrayal of Ken in Barbie. Also nominated for the prize is American Fiction’s Sterling K. Brown, Poor Things’ Willem Dafoe, Killers of the Flower Moon’s Robert De Niro and Oppenheimer’s Robert Downey Jr.

Succession led nominations in the television category for its fifth and final season, including for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series for Brian Cox, Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series for Sarah Snook, and Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series for the cast.

Another big nominee in the television category was The Bear, about a chef who leaves his fine dining job to run his family’s sandwich shop, including for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.
