City Vaccination Sites Are Out Of Doses; MIS-C Cases In Children Increase

Five coronavirus vaccination sites run by the city of L.A., including the supersite at Dodger Stadium, are out of vaccines, and will be closed until Tuesday or Wednesday.
The large-scale vaccination sites run by L.A. county are open, but for this week and next week, they are open for second doses only.
First doses may be available at smaller sites, primarily at health centers and pharmacies.
Meanwhile, health officials have reported another 15 cases of multisystem inflammatory syndrome — known as MIS-C — in children, bringing the total number of such cases in L.A. County to 90.

The syndrome generally develops in children about three weeks after they recover from COVID-19, but has also developed in some patients who did not have a known prior infection.
There has been a 35% increase in MIS-C cases in the past two weeks. One child has died.
On Sunday, county officials reported another 1,936 COVID-19 cases and 82 deaths, bringing the totals to 1,105,615 cases and 19,066 deaths to date.
