Dodgers Hall Of Famer Tommy Lasorda Hospitalized In The ICU

The Los Angeles Dodgers said Sunday that Hall of Fame manager Tommy Lasorda is in intensive care in an Orange County hospital. The team did not reveal the reason, only saying that he is resting comfortably.
Lasorda, 93, was last seen publicly at Game 6 of the World Series in Arlington, Texas on Oct. 27, when the Dodgers won the clinching game against the Tampa Bay Rays.
Lasorda managed the Dodgers from 1976-96. His final season was cut short by a heart attack. He led the team to World Championships in 1981 and 1988.
Team representatives say the family appreciates everyone’s thoughts and prayers, but requests privacy at this time.
