Pencil This In: Music Center Holiday Celebration, Christmas Eve Dinners

Have a happy and safe holiday, everyone! Here's what's going on around LA today.

HOLIDAY SPECIAL*
It's beautiful weather outside so get to the 51st Annual LA County Holiday Celebration today at the Music Center, hosted by actress/singer Tia Carrere and actor Fred Willard. It's billed as the largest multicultural holiday celebration in the country with 24 music, dance and choral ensembles and more than 800 performers. The performances run from 3-6 pm at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion of the Music Center. Admission and parking are free, but wristbands are required. If you don't want to do the drive, watch it live on KCET or listen on 907 FM KPFK.

FOODThe Raymond Restaurant & 1886 Bar in Pasadena are holding a 5-Course Prix-Fixe dinner ($89 food only) and serving up Hot Holland Punch for the occasion. Second course selections include: Roasted Pumpkin Ravioli with Oregon Black Trumpet Mushrooms, Ras el Hanout, Pumpkin Seed Cream; Herb Marinated Rack of Young Colorado Lamb with Ratatouille Tower, Roasted Garlic Cream and Rosemary Jus. Tasty and no doing dishes afterward. 5-9:30 pm.

MORE FOODGladstones Malibu features a Christmas Eve Dungeness Crab Feast with the holiday fixings today from 2 to 6 pm. Enjoy fresh Dungeness Crab with festive accompaniments including Caesar salad, boiled new potatoes, steamed corn, asparagus, and eggnog golden raisin brioche bread pudding. $70 per person and $30 for children 12 and younger.
