Celebrate a beautiful fall Monday with these events: Molly Shannon signs her children's book at Vroman's in Pasadena; there's a night hike in Franklin Canyon, dance performances with Anatomy Riot in DTLA and Chico Mannat headlines It's a School Night at Bardot. Read on for all the details.

It’s a School Night tonight and that means an evening of live music and DJs at Bardot in Hollywood. On the live bill: Guineafowl at 9:30 pm; The Silent Comedy at 10:30 pm; Chico Mannat at 11:30 pm. Special DJ set by DJ Oro11 at midnight. Free with RSVP.

Anatomy Riot #43 presents Man Greater Than His Ten Fingers at Blankenship Ballet at The Alexandria Hotel tonight at 8 pm. It’s an evening of dance and performance that stresses diversity, community and collaboration. Artists include Ariel R. Campos, Brian Getnick, Maya Gingery, Kingsley Irons, Cynthia Lee, Shyamala Moorty, Leopold Nunan, Anna B. Scott and more. $10 tickets at the door.

Vroman’s welcomes funny lady Molly Shannon this afternoon at 4 pm. The SNL veteran will present and sign her new children’s book Tilly the Trickster. “Tilly is a mischievous girl who loves nothing more than causing a little trouble. From leaking cups to toothpaste-flavored cookies, Tilly has a trick for everyone: her mom, dad, brother, classmates, and even her teacher. But when the tables are turned and her family does some scheming of its own, will Tilly decide to change her trickster ways?”
NIGHT HIKE*
Tonight at 6 pm, there’s an Autumn by Moonlight night hike in Franklin Canyon. Explore the fall night by the light of a nearly full moon. Moderate two-hour hike with great views. Meet at the Sooky Goldman Nature Center. Sorry, but no dogs allowed on the hike.
