What’s on tap for a Tuesday night in LA? Here’s a lineup we picked out just for you: A West Coast “re-screening” premiere of Wynn Chamberlain’s Brand X; wine and jazz at Palate in Glendale; Anne Enright at ALOUD and the MOTH storytelling. Read on for all the details.

FILM
There’s a first West Coast “re-screening” at the Hammer Museum tonight of Brand X, Wynn Chamberlain’s film. It’s a “lost gem of 1960s counterculture cinema” that disappeared more than 40 years ago. Brand X is a parody of a TV show that riffs on President Nixon, the Vietnam War, advertising, sex, drugs, and technology, as well as TV programming, commercials, soap operas, game shows, late shows, exercise shows and news conferences. 7 pm. Free admission.

BOOKS
Tonight at 7 pm, ALOUD at the Central Library welcomes Irish author Anne Enright, who discusses her latest book The Forgotten Waltz, with Brighde Mullins, director, Master of Professional Writing Program, USC. At the Central Library’s Mark Taper Auditorium. Enright’s last book The Gathering earned a Man Booker Prize and the 2008 Irish Novel of the Year. Free reservations.

WINE+JAZZ
Palate Food + Wine in Glendale holds its Tuesday night wine tasting tonight from 6:30 to 9 pm. For $10, customers get four tasting pours. Tonight’s lineup features an array of French white wine. Featured wines tonight: 2010 Domaine de Belle Vue Muscadet Sèvre et Maine, Muscadet, France; 2010 La Croix Gratiot Picpoul de Pinet, Languedoc, France; 2010 Henry et Jean-Sébastien Marionnet La Pucelle de Romorantin, Loire, France; and 2009 Domaine Anne Gros Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits, Burgundy, France.
