This is the final weekend for Hitchcock: The British Thrillers series at LACMA. Tonight’s double feature includes The 39 Steps and Number 17. The films in the series were directed by Hitchcock between 1930 and 1939, the year he went to Hollywood to make Rebecca for director David O. Selznik. Tickets $10; $7 museum members, seniors (62+), students with valid ID. $5 second film only of a double-feature; no advance purchase.

CHRISTMAS
Put down the turkey and gravy. It’s officially the Christmas money spending shopping season. Pasadena holds a big tree-lighting ceremony and party for Santa's arrival in the Courtyard at One Colorado tonight at 6 pm. Attendees are encouraged to donate a toy to the Charles Cherniss Toy Drive to receive a complimentary photo with Santa.
