Pencil This In: 'Bones' Cast at the Paley Center, Dirty Vegas at It's a School Night and Life Lessons from Jane Austen

MUSIC
It’s a School Night at Bardot in Hollywood features DJ sets by Dirty Vegas, Isobel Campbell and Frankie Banks with live performances by Brian Wright and Warhorse. 9 pm to 2 am and free with RSVP. The sets stream live, too, if you don’t feel like heading out on a Monday night.TV*
The Paley Center hosts An Evening with Bones, with cast and crew of the Fox TV series at the end of its sixth season. A preview screening of an upcoming episode begins at 7 pm and will be followed by a Q&A. Scheduled to appear are David Boreanaz, Emily Deschanel, Tamara Taylor, T.J. Thyne, Michaela Conlin, Hart Hanson, Executive Producer / Writer and Stephen Nathan, Executive Producer / Writer. Tickets: $20, $15 for Paley Center members.

DANCE PANEL The Beach=Culture series at the Annenberg Beach house continues tonight with panel discussion on site-specific dance (non-theatrical settings) in California. Choreographer in Residence and panel moderator Keith Glassman will lead a discussion with local choreographers Heidi Duckler, Stephan Koplowitz and Jean Isaacs. Get a glimpse into these artists’ creative processes and what it means to dance outside the box. 6:30 pm. Free, but reservations highly recommended. Parking rates from $3-$10.

LIT 
Tonight at 7 pm, Vroman’s hosts author and literary critic William Deresiewiczwho’ll discuss and sign his latest book A Jane Austen Education: How Six Novels Taught Me About Love, Friendship, and the Things That Really Matter. It’s the author’s attempt to make sense of Austen’s continued popularity. He examines novels Emma, Pride and Prejudice, Mansfield Park, Sense and Sensibility, Persuasion and Northanger Abbey and brings her life lessons to the 21st century. 


PERFORMANCE
There’s an evening of dance and performance curated by Stacy Dawson Stearns tonight at 8 pm at the Alexandria Hotel. Anatomy Riot #41 features live music of Señor Plastic and nine “unruly” dancers: Meg Wolfe, Michael Sakamoto, Jesse Saler, Vivian Bang, Greg (is a kitten) Barnett, Joy Daniels, remote Karinne Keithley, Stacy Dawson Stearns and Jessica "Hell's Bells" Emmanuel. $10 at the door.
