Happy Tuesday. Hope you caught last night’s super bluemoon. Even though the kid’s are back in school, it’s still summer and we have the temperatures to prove it — at least for the next few days.
Along the coast, temperatures will hit in the upper 70’s to low 80’s. Beginning tomorrow, things will cool down with temperatures in the low 70s come Thursday through Saturday.
Downtown L.A. and the valleys will be hot in the 90’s. But the cooling trend beginning tomorrow will bring us to a more comfortable upper 70’s into the low 80s through Saturday.
Orange County will be much like L.A. County — hot, in the upper 80’s today and tomorrow, calling to the upper 70’s come Thursday.
Across the region, nighttime temps will cool down nicely to the mid 60’s.
Inland Empire temperatures will be hot — some areas will see triple digits then cool down to the upper 60's.
This day in history
On this day in 1997, the remnants of Tropical Storm Ignacio tracked northward moving inland in Central California, bringing gale force winds over portions of the Southern California coastal waters.
