LA Metro Is Offering Free Rides On Earth Day
To encourage Los Angeles County residents to take advantage of public transit and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, all L.A. Metro rail, bus and bicycles are free Monday in observance of Earth Day.
Free rides kicked off at 4 a.m. Monday morning and will run until 3 a.m. on Tuesday.

You can also take a free 30-minute Metro bike ride using the promo code 4222019 at any Metro bike-share station (that code can be used multiple times Monday, the transit agency said).
"What better time to turn over a new leaf than on Earth Day?" L.A. County supervisor and Metro board chair Sheila Kuehl
tweeted Monday
. "If you make (Metro) part of your daily commute moving forward, you'll save half a ton of CO2 emissions over the year!"
Metrolink is also offering free rides on its trains Monday.
