LA Fashion Week Is Taking Over Beautiful Union Station
(Jen Carlson/LAist)
If LA Fashion Week organizers have it their way, LA Fashion Week may become a real, legit thing. According to Racked, "following countless attempts to legitimize Los Angeles Fashion Week, hopeful souls are still trying to make this thing happen. We may have found our savior in Arthur Chipman, the executive producer of what is called the official LA Fashion Week."
Chipman, along with a team including NYFW alum, even have a signed proclamation by Mayor Eric Garcetti (or an excellent knock-off of a signed proclamation by Garcetti), which declares LA Fashion Week to be "The Official Fashion Week For The City of LA." Sorry, Fashion Week LA.
They are working towards an LAFW run from October 7th through 11th at the historic Union Station, which is what really makes all of this notable. Previously, shows have been spread out all over town, and not contained in one gorgeous venue.
