Baby Kitty Rescued After Clumsy Hawk Drops It From The Sky
An adorable white kitten was rescued after a hawk dropped it from the sky. Lindsey Gage was leaving her Jurupa Valley home to go to the grocery store at about 1 p.m. this afternoon when she spotted a large hawk perched on a basketball hoop in her neighbor’s yard, CBS LA reports. The hawk had an adorable, 5-week-old kitten in its talons. As the hawk took off, it lost its grip on the kitten and dropped it.
A nearby man was able to pinpoint where the kitten landed, and Gage rushed to snatch the kitten up before the hawk could return.
She took it to the Western Riverside County/City Animal Shelter. Though the little cat did suffer a wound to its chest, it appears to otherwise be in good health.
