Photos: Los Angeles Zoo Welcomes Ridiculously Adorable Baby Animals
This spring the Los Angeles Zoo welcomed a newborn crew of animals that includes a baby chimp, river otters, lambs, sifakas and lizards (oh my!)
The star of the newborn crew is the zoo's first baby chimpanzee in 13 years. Mama Gracie gave birth to the chimp on March 6 this year, and you can catch a glimpse of mother and child starting tomorrow. Fifteen chimpanzees altogether make their home at the zoo now.
The desert bighorn sheep at the zoo gave birth to three baby lambs this April and May, which brings the bighorn crew to about eight altogether. A trio of giant otter pups (yeah, it sounds like an oxymoron) were born on March 21, and you can watch them being fed several times a day at the zoo or in the ridiculously adorable video below:

A Coquerel's sifaka baby seemed to struggle with nursing after being born this January, but now the little guy is looking healthy and strong and cute (we've heard). Sifakas are a large, long-legged lemurs found in Madagascar and the Comoro Islands. A triplet of Yarrow's Spiny Lizards were born March 7, 2012 at the Betty White-approved LAIR (Living Amphibians, Invertebrates and Reptiles) exhibit. The little guys are just three inches long right now, but they could get up to five inches.
