Exposure: Local Photographers Exhibit a Lifetime of Work
Over the past few years LA's vibrant photography scene has simply flourished. The images have become tantamount to, if not greater than, the words they generally accompany. And thus, it's safe to assume that at one point or another you've come across the spectacular work of Jeff Koga, Benjamin Hoste and Simon Cardoza.
Two of the three aforementioned photographers—longtime contributor Koga and newcomer Hoste, of course—are an integral part of LAist's ever-growing coverage. Their snapshots of local musicians bring life to the pages of our website on almost a daily basis now.
The triumvirate of lensmen, however, mean more to Los Angeles than can be sufficiently valued or duly expressed. Together, they have managed to document an entire culture and, consequently, have preserved our way of life.
Their first collective exhibition—appropriately entitled Exposure—finds Koga, Hoste and Cardoza showcasing their best work every Friday for an entire month at Meet, Mix, Mogul in Griffith Park. Although there will be live performances from some of the fabulous bands they've shot, consider the event to be the photographers' equivalent of a residency. Demonstrate through your attendance that you respect what they've done for you.
