Chris Douridas' Top Ten Albums of 2007
If you totally dug the soundtrack to American Beauty (not the orchestral score by Thomas Newman, which is amazing too), then you must know that KCRW DJ Chris Douridas was behind it. His choices in music for that movie led to a Grammy nomination, but that is only one of many movies and accomplishments under his belt. As a DJ, Douridas hosts New Ground on Saturdays at noon for three hours.
In September, we interviewed the 1990s host of Morning Becomes Eclectic and today we present you with his top ten:
1) Oren Lavie - The Opposite Side of the Sea (Tuition)
2) Radiohead - In Rainbows (radiohead.com)
3) Spoon - Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga (Merge)
4) Jesca Hoop - Kismet (Columbia)
5) Arcade Fire - Neon Bible (Merge)
7) UNKLE - War Stories (Surrender All)
8) Gui Boratto - Chromophobia (Kompakt)
9) Les Deux Love Orchestra - Ecstasy (Heart Times Coffee Cup)
10) Keren Ann - Keren Ann (Metro Blue/Blue Note)
