The comedian returns to TV with a decidedly offbeat series for Showtime, which reunites him with "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" director Michel Gondry. Carrey makes his return to TV for the first time in over 20 years as Jeff Pickles, a television host on a kids' show called “Mr. Pickles’ Puppet Time,” who’s suffered a recent tragedy. Surrounded by cavorting puppets and clad in sweater vests, Mr. Pickles makes for a lovable figure and commercially successful brand.
