When the drug wars hit home for the U.S.

(Starts at 7:42)

Among the most notorious drug dealers, Miguel Ángel Félix Gallardo isn’t a name that stands out. But after watching the first episode of "Narcos: Mexico," the fourth installment of the popular Netflix series, it’s clear why he’s the series’ new antihero. In the 1980s, Félix Gallardo transformed the Guadalajara cartel from a regional marijuana industry into a cocaine trafficking empire. As if written for TV, Félix Gallardo’s story culminated in the kidnapping, torture and murder of Kiki Camarena, the heroic DEA agent assigned to the Guadalajara office. The Frame’s John Horn speaks with show runner Eric Newman about casting and researching the show.
