That Dog Will Hunt

Anna Waronker is the guitarist and lead singer of the alt-rock band That Dog. She formed the band in the early '90s with Tony Maxwell, and Petra and Rachel Haden — daughters of the late jazz bassist Charlie Haden. The band (sans Petra Haden) has regrouped and released “Old LP,” their first album in 22 years. John Horn spoke with Waronker about why she got the band back together and what inspired the latest record.

Grammy-winning songwriter, producer and artist Raphael Saadiq was the lead singer of the influential ’90s R&B group, Tony! Toni! Toné! As a producer, Saadiq has worked with D’Angelo, Mary J. Blige, Solange Knowles and John Legend. This year, he released his fifth solo album. It’s called "Jimmy Lee," which is named for his late older brother.
