Singer/songwriter Mary Gauthier collaborates with veterans

Award-winning singer-songwriter Mary Gauthier brought veterans and their families into the writing process for her latest album, "Rifles and Rosary Beads." KPCC Veteran Affairs reporter Libby Denkmann spoke with a wounded service member who says getting his song written down and recorded with Gauthier helped heal the invisible injuries of war.

What Harvey Weinstein's arrest means for the entertainment industry

Attorney Debra Katz talks about the larger cultural movement to put an end to sexual harassment and assault, and what the industry needs to do going forward. Katz, an attorney in Washington D.C. who represents plaintiffs in sexual harassment cases, says the arrest will empower other people to speak up, but that it needs to affect day-to-day work practices too. For instance, she says at The Weinstein Company, the human resources department "was a complete sham." Katz represents Irwin Reiter, a long-time employee at The Weinstein Company. She says that he has not been accused of abetting Weinstein's crimes and has instead been a government informant and collaborator in the investigation.
