A man of many hats (and bandanas)
(Starts at 7:45)
Steven Van Zandt is best known as the bandana-wearing guitarist of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band. He’s also known for playing mob-like characters on shows such as “The Sopranos” and “Lilyhammer.” But he’s also a songwriter, producer, activist and radio host. And he has an album of new music titled “Summer of Sorcery” — his first in 20 years. He’s also in an upcoming documentary about the New Jersey music scene called, ”Asbury Park: Riot, Redemption, Rock ’n’ Roll.” John Horn spoke with Van Zandt about his new projects and getting his band, Disciples of Soul, back together.
