On today's show:

The Wilde Life

(Starts at approx. 8:00)

In 1895, Oscar Wilde was charged with sodomy, as England then barred homosexuality. The Irish poet and playwright decided to fight the charges, and sued his accuser — the father of Wilde’s companion, in fact — for libel. The resulting trial essentially ruined Wilde’s career and life. David Hare’s play, “The Judas Kiss,” looks at Wilde during and after the trial. It’s now running at the Boston Court theater, and The Frame interviews its star, Rob Nagle, and director, Michael Michetti.

The Mouse Ate the Fox

(Starts at :45)

The Walt Disney Company's purchase of Fox's TV and film studios is now complete. John Horn talks with the Wall Street Journal's Joe Flint about what's at stake for the Disney empire.

Emily King opts for a change of 'Scenery'

(Starts at 18:55)

R&B singer-songwriter Emily King is just 33-years-old, but she's already had a long career. She released her first album, “East Side Story," in 2007. Though the album earned her a Grammy nomination (best contemporary R&B album), she was later dropped by her label for poor sales. She’s released three acclaimed albums since — largely on her own volition and with the help of producer and songwriting partner, Jeremy Most. King grew up on New York City's Lower East Side and she's lived in the city for her entire life. But her latest album, “Scenery,” inspired the decision to pick up and move to a small town in upstate New York.
