You Couldn't Make This Up

Joey King plays the co-lead in the new Hulu series, "The Act." It's the scripted telling of a bizarre true story about a teenage girl named Gypsy Rose Blanchard and her mother, Dee Dee. Based on a longform Buzzfeed story by Michelle Dean, King plays Gypsy Rose – who was raised to believe she was plagued by a range of physical and cognitive ailments – and Patricia Arquette as her mother who is believed to have had Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy. Rose is currently serving a jail term for conspiring with her online boyfriend to murder her mother. King talks about her role and the series with John Horn.
