What's So Funny 'Bout Death, Love And Understanding?
The Netflix series "Dead to Me" walks a very fine line between comedy and tragedy. Created by Liz Feldman, the series stars Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini as two women harboring more than a few secrets who meet in a grief support group. The series is packed from the first episode to the last with lots of surprising twists and turns, but at its core is a story about friendship and the different ways we cope with grief. Feldman spoke with The Frame about the real-life experiences that inspired "Dead to Me" (just renewed this week for a second season), and why it was so important for her to hire mostly women to write and direct the show.
