When Things Aren't What They Seem

In the new Netflix movie, "Horse Girl," Alison Brie plays a quiet craft store worker named Sarah who finds simple joys in life — like watching her favorite supernatural crime procedural or visiting her old horse at the stables. But something in Sarah's life is not quite right. She finds herself having increasingly strange dreams, waking up in random places and more and more consumed by conspiracy theories. "Horse Girl" was co-written by Brie and Jeff Baena, who also directs. The two spoke with John Horn at the Sundance Film Festival about Brie's personal connection to the story and how they improvised almost all of the dialogue in the film.
