Mark Ronson gets 'Shallow' with Gaga

Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper's duet “Shallow,” from their movie “A Star is Born,” earned four Grammy nominations today. Lady Gaga already has six Grammy wins, but Mark Ronson, the man who co-wrote and produced the song, has a pretty great Grammy track record too. In 2008, Ronson won producer of the year, and he's won record of the year twice — in 2008 (for Amy Winehouse's "Rehab") and in 2016 (with Bruno Mars, for "Uptown Funk"). Ronson talked with The Frame about his collaborations with Gaga, from "Joanne" to "Shallow." 

A change in tune for the Grammys?

Rappers Kendrick Lamar and Drake top the list of 2019 Grammy nominees, announced today, but female artists also made an impressive showing. This year, women dominated the nominations in the Grammy's four main categories — album of the year, record of the year, song of the year and best new artist. Shirley Halperin, executive editor for music at Variety, joins The Frame to discuss.

WANTED: Oscar host

Kevin Hart had the host job for about a day. But last night, after a social media backlash against him for anti-gay statements made on social media, he was out. Now the producers of the Academy Awards need to find someone to host the telecast. The New York Times carpetbagger Kyle Buchanan joins John Horn to talk about what happened and who to get for the gig.
