On today's show:

'Atlanta' through the lens of Hiro Murai

(Starts at 9:17)

“Atlanta” can be described as an existential comedy about a group of friends living in, you guessed it, Atlanta. Donald Glover plays Earn, a college dropout who’s trying to manage his cousin’s fledgling rap career. His cousin Alfred (Brian Tyree Henry), who raps under the name Paper Boi, lives with his sidekick Darius (Lakeith Stanfield). The two are stoners, who offer Earn sagely insight even when seriously baked. The tone of “Atlanta” is dreamy and full of unexpected moments. There are seeds of that sensibility and tone in Glover’s Childish Gambino music videos which, along with most “Atlanta,” are directed by Hiro Murai, who has an Emmy nomination this year.

'What Haunts Us' examines the culture of silence around sexual abuse

(Starts at 1:16)

In the Emmy-nominated documentary, “What Haunts Us,” director/producer Paige Goldberg Tolmach returns to her hometown of Charleston, South Carolina to find out why so many male former students at her prep school alma mater were dying by suicide.

Inside the music world in 'Juliet, Naked'

(Starts at 20:18)

"Juliet, Naked" is based on a Nick Hornby novel about a reclusive musician and his obsessed fans. The director, Jesse Peretz, and actor Chris O'Dowd talk with John Horn about what this story says about the nature of celebrity.
