Serendipity for the 'Mueller, She Wrote' podcast

The women behind the weekly podcast scheduled a live taping for April 18, and then had to scramble when the date was chosen for the Mueller report's release; actress Michelle Williams on playing Gwen Verdon in "Fosse/Verdon."

The hosts of the "Mueller, She Wrote" podcast are (L-R) Jordan Coburn, A.G., and Jaleesa Johnson.

Show biz is all about timing

(Starts at :45)

"Mueller, She Wrote" has been a weekly podcast since 2017, examining the latest developments in the investigation by Robert Mueller into Russian interference in the 2016 election. Episodes are occasionally taped before a live audience, and one was scheduled for April 18 at Largo in Los Angeles. And then serendipity struck when it was announced the Mueller Report would be released that same day. The podcast's hosts are stand-up comedians Jaleesa Johnson, Jordan Coburn and a woman who only goes by her initials, A.G., because she is a federal employee who is prohibited by law from participating in partisan political activities. John Horn spoke with A.G. and Jordan following their Largo taping.

Michelle Williams doesn't tap around in 'Fosse/Verdon'

(Starts at 7:45)

The new FX series, "Fosse/Verdon," explores the real-life personal and professional relationship between Broadway dancer Gwen Verdon (Michelle Williams) and director/choreographer Bob Fosse (Sam Rockwell). The series spans 30 years through marriage, Fosse’s addiction and womanizing, separation, and lasting friendship and professional bond. Verdon was known for her brilliance on stage, but her work helping Fosse direct hits such as "Cabaret" went largely uncredited. "Fosse/Verdon" sets the record straight. John Horn talks with Williams about the FX limited series, and her ongoing work for gender equity in Hollywood.
