Trump Impeachment Reaction
The impeachment inquiry that Democrats have launched into President Trump. This controversy stems from a July phone call that the President had with his counterpart in Ukraine. According to the transcript, Trump had asked that country's president for a favor that would've affected one of his rivals in the 2020 elections -- Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden. This move to start an impeachment inquiry is just the first step in what could be a long process. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's announcement Tuesday marks a major turn for the lawmaker. Pelosi has resisted calls to launch an impeachment inquiry in the past. Among her main concerns: Democratic lawmakers in purple districts. But if it's a concern among the seven Democrats who flipped red seats in California last year, you wouldn't know it. EPA Revokes Federal Highway Funding for CA
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency sent a letter to the California Air Resources Board this week. It's threatening to cut federal funding for transportation projects for its failure to meet smog-reduction targets required by the Clean Air Act.
