We speak with Congresswoman Katie Hill about why she's supporting the House inquiry into impeachment of President Trump. Plus, the California Air Resources Board responds to the U.S. Enivronmental Protection Agency's threat to revoke federal highway funding for the state. And, what's going on with hate incidents at Orange County high schools.

Trump Impeachment Reaction

The impeachment inquiry that Democrats have launched into President Trump. This controversy stems from a July phone call that the President had with his counterpart in Ukraine. According to the transcript, Trump had asked that country's president for a favor that would've affected one of his rivals in the 2020 elections -- Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden. This move to start an impeachment inquiry is just the first step in what could be a long process. But to catch you up to speed and explain how it could play out into the 2020 elections, we have two guests.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's announcement Tuesday marks a major turn for the lawmaker. Pelosi has resisted calls to launch an impeachment inquiry in the past. Among her main concerns: Democratic lawmakers in purple districts. But if it's a concern among the seven Democrats who flipped red seats in California last year, you wouldn't know it. All of them have come out in favor of an impeachment inquiry.

EPA Revokes Federal Highway Funding for CA

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency sent a letter to the California Air Resources Board this week. It's threatening to cut federal funding for transportation projects for its failure to meet smog-reduction targets required by the Clean Air Act.
